Welcome to the 1st annual Southern Ohio Dance Experience (SODE), a 7 day dance intensive for dancers age 7 - 18 years of age and all experience levels. SODE takes place at the beautiful Vern Riffe Center for the Arts in Portsmouth, Ohio. Dance Intensive participants will experience multiple dance genres and techniques from the beginner - advanced levels. Our professional faculty and intensive schedule will inspire and encourage creativity from all dancers.

The SODE prides itself on the professional faculty coming together to share their expertise and their talent with they youth of East Central Appalachia. Dancers will have the opportunity to audition for faculty works that willbe performed at the end of the Southern Ohio Dance Experience during the BoneyFiddle Fringe Festival on June 17th and 18th.

SOD Experience Tuition

Tuition : $400.00

Tuition w/Accommodations: $500.00

Chaperone Accommodations: $75.00 per person

​

Caperone/Parent Access Badge: $20.00 per person

SOD Experience Accomodations

On campus, apartment style housing with meals included

Dancers age 7-13yrs can stay on campus with at least 1 adult chaperone per room. Please denote your chaperone when registering for housing.

Dancers age 14-18yrs can stay on campus, 1 SODE Resident Assistant will be assigned to PODs once registration is complete
